Hey, I’m Alex

For over five years, my approach to wedding photography has been rooted in real, honest, and natural moments. But don't worry, with my background in commercial photography, I will absolutely step in to direct your beautiful portraits and seamlessly handle those all-important family group shots, too.

I use top-tier professional camera bodies and off-camera lighting techniques to ensure that even dimly lit reception venues and atmospheric winter weddings are captured perfectly.

  • We will sit down (or jump on a call) to walk through your timeline, discuss your venue's unique features, and note any specific family groupings or must-have shots.

  • Operating as a full-time visual production professional means I bring commercial-level equipment and mentality to your wedding. Public liability insurance, backup gear, secure dual-slot memory card recording, and strict data-handling protocols mean your memories are safe.

  • Your final images are meticulously colour-graded and delivered in a secure, high-resolution online gallery, ready to be downloaded, printed, and shared with family.

  • My style is primarily documentary and unobtrusive. I focus on capturing the honest, unscripted moments of your day as they unfold naturally. Think of me as a guest who just happens to have a camera! We'll still take time for some relaxed, naturally guided portraits, blending that candid feel with a touch of high-end editorial elegance.

  • You are absolutely not alone! Almost every couple tells me this! Because my approach is documentary, you won't be spending your wedding day holding stiff, awkward poses. For your couple's portraits, I give gentle, relaxed direction to help you feel natural and look your best. We just go for a walk, have a laugh, and I take care of the rest.

  • Absolutely. While I love capturing candid moments, I know how important those traditional family groupings are. Before the wedding, we’ll work together to create a streamlined list. On the day, I get through them quickly, warmly, and efficiently, so you and your guests can get right back to the champagne and canapés.

  • 100%. I operate with strict professional standards. I am fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity insurance. I also bring multiple top-tier professional camera bodies and lenses to every single wedding. Every photo I take is instantly saved onto two memory cards simultaneously, meaning your memories are backed up the second they are captured.

  • It would take something incredibly serious to keep me away from your wedding! However, if the absolute worst were to happen, I have a fantastic, trusted network of professional wedding photographers across Berkshire and the South East. I would immediately source a replacement with a similar style and standard to step in seamlessly, ensuring you are never left without coverage.

  • Living in the UK, we always have to be prepared for a bit of rain, but please don’t worry—it won't ruin your photos! I bring professional off-camera lighting that allows us to create beautiful, atmospheric portraits indoors if needed. Plus, if you're feeling adventurous, grabbing an umbrella and stepping out into the evening rain can create some of the most epic, cinematic shots of the entire day.

  • I’ve been lucky enough to shoot at many stunning venues across Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and London. If I haven’t shot at yours yet, don't worry! I always thoroughly research new venues, arrive early to scout the best light and locations, and adapt my professional lighting gear to suit the space. Sometimes, having fresh eyes at a venue results in the most creative photos.

  • For most weddings, I am more than comfortable covering the day solo. However, a second photographer is a great addition if you have over 100 guests, if you are getting ready in two different locations that are far apart, or if you want a high volume of candid guest photos during the drinks reception while we are doing your portraits. We can discuss your timeline and see what fits best!

  • Yes! While my home base is Newbury and I shoot predominantly across Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and London, I am more than happy to travel across the UK. Just let me know where you're celebrating, and we can discuss the travel logistics.

  • I know how eager you will be to relive the day! I always aim to send over a handful of 'sneak peek' preview images within a few days of the wedding. Your full, meticulously colour-graded, high-resolution online gallery will typically be delivered within 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the time of year.

    How many photos will we receive? I focus on quality over a strict quota, ensuring every image I deliver helps tell the true story of your day. For a standard full-day wedding, you can expect to receive between 500 and 700 fully edited images. You'll get full printing and downloading rights with your gallery, so you can share them with family and friends right away.
